Catching A Breath

Wow!!! Two weeks into the new year and I haven't posted once. So much for being more consistent on my blogging. I think life is always so busy and I look back and realize it wasn't (or didn't seem) nearly as busy as it does in the present. I'm really struggling with time management. So much I want to do and (what seems) so little time to do it in. Anyways, here's a quick recap on our first few weeks of the new year:
  • resumed the crazy~busy school routine. (I can't tell you how much I would pay to have some magic way to make our school mornings stress free!)
  • Austin started his basketball season. So far, just practices, but games start next week.
  • Audrey started gymnastics at the Y (a Christmas gift from Grandma Mossy).
  • dr's appointments, hair appointments, lots of running around in general.
  • (A HUGE praise btw, my biopsy results showed some inflammation, so I'm good to go. Probably the best possible outcome in this situation... for now.)
  • Jackabama's GAP is going~out~of~business. We've been there twice this week to get in on the deals. I used to shop there all the time and Austin was (if I do sat so myself;) the best dressed baby and toddler around=) But lately, the budget says Target clearance, not GAP and I've missed shopping there. It was fun to go thru the racks and stock up on some much needed school clothes for the kids.
  • Audrey enjoyed a special afternoon with mommy as a hard earned reward for good behavior. Her diva attitude has become quite the "issue" lately so we made a chart for her to collect stamps. Every time I "caught" her being good, she would get a stamp. When her chart was full, she could have an afternoon of one~on~one time with me. We enjoyed lunch at On The Ave in downtown, and then went shopping. It was so much fun and I hope we can do it again soon!
  • Tom's birthday is less than 2 weeks away and I'm trying to put something together to celebrate him turning the big 3~0! (I can write this here because he doesn't keep tabs on me;)
  • Looking forward to coffee dates, sleepovers, and some one~on~one time with Lexi this weekend
